QLI specializes in neurological injury diagnoses and rehabilitation. After years of internal development, QLI was ready to launch a new business and brand devoted solely to remote rehabilitation. Having worked with QLI for many years on projects including their early telehealth marketing collateral, I was tasked with guiding the QLI Telehealth team through the process of naming and branding their new venture, Kintinu. This process began with discovery, identifying audiences, defining personas, crafting messaging for their various audiences, defining brand attributes, and more - all the way through developing and defining their new visual identity.

The Ideation Process
Before any sketching, my process begins by clearly identifying the brand attributes and persona. This information provides invaluable creative constraints which guide and accelerate the ideation process. Defining what the brand is, and is not, helps in evaluating proposed solutions more objectively, which translates into efficiency, clarity and alignment for the entire project team.
